DESCRIPTION:Trinity Lutheran Church in Tenafly is making plans to participate in the September 8\, 2019\, “God’s Work\, Our Hands” Sunday\, and we hope everyone will be an enthusiastic partner. \nWith last year’s success of assembling a whopping 1000 “weekend snack packs” for needy children\, we’ve decided to up the ante and go for 1500 this year. These packs have proven to be enormously popular and successful in providing nutritious snacks for needy children who otherwise must do without on the weekends and return to school complaining of fatigue\, headaches\, dizziness and stomach aches due to lack of food. \nImmediately following the service on September 8\, we will gather in the narthex to assemble the packs. All materials will be supplied since the packs are strictly regulated. Items will be arranged in groups on the tables so all you’re required to do is place them in the provided zip-lock bags\, zip the bags and place them in boxes. There will be someone to demonstrate the most efficient way to position items in the bags so everything fits. The boxes will then be taken to the Center for Food Action in Englewood for distribution. \nFeel free to invite friends to join in the fun on September 8. Pizza will be provided for anyone who is hungry. \nCome. Make this year even better than 2018.
