Trinity needs volunteers to help with the Tenafly Community Night on Tuesday, September 17.

The Community Night is sponsored by the Tenafly Police and Recreation Departments. Their aim is to help everyone become aware of the services provided to the community while furnishing demonstrations of safety issues along with the fun, free food, and fireworks. Many local businesses take part in the evening’s activities. All of this is centered around the Fire and Police Departments on River Edge Road. In the past years, we have had a good response to our participation and we’re looking forward to being part of the celebration again this year. We will have banners, brochures and various items to pass out to anyone who stops by our table.

However, our table needs people to man it, to chat with passersby, to answer questions and to hand out the articles we have. So, we’re looking for anyone willing to make him/herself available from either 5 to 6:30 p.m. or 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Everyone who participated in the past has been surprised to find it an enjoyable, gratifying evening. Chairs can be provided for anyone not able to stand for long periods of time and we have broken it into two time periods of an hour and a half each.

Come help Trinity introduce itself as a welcoming place of worship for everyone. There may be a new member just waiting for you to reach out to them
