Music Ministry
Trinity is fortunate to have Heesoo Kim as our Director of Music. Heesoo was born and raised in South Korea, and attended the prestigious Musashino Music Academy in Tokyo. Although schooled in piano, he was drawn to the organ, becoming self-taught over several years. His ability to play extemporaneously is a great addition to his musical leadership of our worship services. Heesoo has the gift of interpreting the deeper meaning of hymns, liturgical settings, solos and other musical presentations.
Heesoo directs our Hand Bell Choir, solos, choir, brass quartets and other special music in Festival worship services.
As one of our new members said recently, Trinity has a “strong musical presence”. Mr. Kim’s spiritual depth and understanding of our Christian faith, as revealed in the joy of music, is the main reason for Trinity’s vibrant music ministry. Our recently restored pipe organ is a treasured instrument for our musical expression.
